Pack the Room for Transit! House Transportation Bill Hearing

The House Transportation Committee is hearing the transportation omnibus bill, and it’s great news for transit—it has funding that we’ve been fighting for! Join Move Minnesota Action and our allies to show legislators that we need to get transit funding over the finish line.

The transportation omnibus bill contains new funding that would double Metro Transit’s operating budget. That means faster routes, better frequency, expanded community support and safety resources, and more reliable and welcoming service for the transit riders of today and tomorrow.

We know that one-time or surplus funding is not enough: legislators need to hear that we need long-term, dedicated, reliable funding for our transit system! Together, we can keep this bill on track and get one step closer to funding the transit improvements we need for our climate, our families, and our communities.
